To buy a Sport Fit or to buy a LX Fit: That is the question...
Hey guys! I'm heading down to the dealership this week and im gonna put down a deposit for a Fit. The question is...should i get a LX or a Sport?
Maybe u can help me out on this one.

Best advice I can come up with: Select the model that meets all of your needs/desires as far as comfort, power, room etc. Then go for it. Just dont settle for something that doesnt fulfill everything you want in a car.
Good luck.
Cheers

We are lucky in Canada that we have 3 choices, I am very happy with my
LX auto. Same engine, A/C, but for our winters it also has D3, 2,1, trans.
From the driver's seat, the car looks the same as the others.
I had cruise on my 85 Olds and hardly had time to use it, air is needed with the almost black interior and the big windshiled and dash. (Interior thermo was up to 50C yes, air temp. was 28C)
Some Sport owners are complaing about btm. scraping in high-sloped driveways.

I chose the base model because of the price and I the only option I would have wanted from the sport was the AUX and wheels. I am getting the aux hooked up myself and I can always get some wheels later on. I had to take in account that I needed to pay for tint and an alarm. I also ended up buying a small amplified subwoofer (Kenwood KSC-SW1) and some Polk db650 speakers. So yeah, it is all about trade-offs.
I too am having a difficult time deciding between the Fit (MT) and the Fit Sport (MT).
I like these features:
Security system with remote entry
Fog lights
Cruise control
200-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with 6 speakers
MP3/Windows Media Audio (WMA) playback capability
MP3/auxiliary input jack
But have no interest in these:
Body-colored underbody kit
Body-colored rear roofline spoiler
15-inch alloy wheels
I'll be replacing the wheels regardless of the trim level I land on so this is a minor issue. The larger issue is that I simply cannot abide the bling kit. It looks like an afterthought to me, and really can't see it delivering more than trivial down-force advantage.
The MSRP (from Honda's site) for the sport is $15,170.
The MSRP (without labor) for the the base with:
Security system
Keyless entry
Fog lights
is $14,493.
These options are not available (or would boost the price above that of the Sport):
Cruise control
200-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with 6 speakers
MP3/Windows Media Audio (WMA) playback capability
MP3/auxiliary input jack
So I guess what this all comes down to is can the Sport be got without the bling kit? Or, can the bling kit be removed without leaving marks?
