What year FIT might I consider buying?
Greetings,
I am completely new to the forum, and pondering buying a used FIT for myself.
Will you share any suggestions on what model year I might consider?
Are there any options or differences or considerations or known problems between the different years? (it seems as if the 2008 model has smaller diameter tires).
Many thanks.

mrpooh... all bias aside, you should take test drives of the cars.
While the 2012 is a refresh, it's still a GE. It changes the bumper and wheels. Adds steering controls for the radio as standard for Sports, without needing the navigation. And probably the biggest thing for some people... extra sound deadening. There are plenty of folks that don't like the external sound.
2011 has VSA standard across the board, while prior/older GEs only had it with navigation.
As you can see, mike410b thinks the aesthetics of the first generation is better than the second... I, myself, like the second. There are plenty of people that like each generation. But since aesthetics is a personal subjective matter... it's up to you which you like more.
Same with interior, which you consider better is up to you.
Fun is the same... subjective. Some say the GD handles better... the GE is softer, etc... what you enjoy isn't necessarily the same as what I or mike410b enjoys.
While the GD does get better MPG based one the EPA... it's not like it gets 5-10 mpg more... it's 1 or 2, so not really a big point. How a person drives, would affect the mpg much more.
It really boils down to... which do you like (after seeing them in person and test driving them) and which you can afford.
