Cross Country Motor Club vs. AAA (i.e., Do I keep my extended warranty?)
Bought a Fit a few weeks back, got the extended warranty (7 yrs). I know everyone will say they're not worth it, but since we pay $120 a month for AAA, subtracting that from the warranty price makes it a pretty cheap proposition.
Here's the question, though: I've always been pretty happy with AAA. Sure, it can take a while to see a tow truck, but they've always been dependable and easy(ish) to deal with. Is Cross Country the same? Does anyone have any experience working with them, whether having their Fit towed or otherwise using Cross Country's services? Thumbs up? Down? Any insight as to how CCMC and AAA compare?
Thanks!

I really hope you meant to say per year there. That said, I pay ~ $20/year for towing coverage from my car insurance company, and that covers 2 cars. AAA is only really useful if you still use all the discounts and other services associated with it. Basic towing coverage can be had for much cheaper.

This may be a moot point, as reading of the fine print has indicated that Cross Country only covers the first $100 of towing, which in my experience will barely get me across Chicago, much less the 100 miles that AAA will cover. I'm sure towing is cheaper if I break down in the middle of Ohio, but $100 just doesn't seem all that useful for any towing of substance.
