KONI looking for ‘09+ Fit near Cincinnati for strut/shock test fit. FREE PARTS

KONI North America is developing STR.T product line struts and shocks for the 2009+ Honda Fit and is looking to borrow a car in the Cincinnati, OH/ Northern KY/ Southeastern IN area for a final test fit.

The STR.Ts are entry level performance (as opposed to OEM replacement), non-adjustable full struts and shocks. In exchange for using your car for a day or two, you will get to keep the struts and shocks that are installed and confirmed on the car. The car will be driven only on public roads at legal speeds for less than 100 miles. A basically stock test car would be preferred although one with performance lowering springs will be acceptable if you also have the stock springs available as well.

If you are interested, please contact KONI Engineering at info@koni-na.com.

Sadly, NJ is not anywhere near Cincinnati. I will be watching though for updates since I am looking at a road going perfomance upgrade along the lines of the bilstien stuff currently available.

If only you needed a Fit in California I run this shock on my Mustang and love it.It's perfect for springs like Eibach prokit and I bet they would work just as well with my Swifts.

What?

1.) You can use GD stuff
2.) GE Guys already have better stuff.

Yeah but GD suspension components aren't really setup for the GE. Coilovers are ok but I wouldn't use GD springs or shocks.

We only had Tokicos?

Bilstein anything > Tokico/KW/Skunk2/Buddy Club/T1R/etc.

Yeah I know...the Bilsteins are actually what I was looking at when I first got my GE but im engaged now so my budget has been cut. Koni STR.T's are usually pretty cheap. Cheap enough that my Fiance wont notice...hopefully.

The KONI STR.T are usually less then half the price of KONI Sport. If they start selling the STR.T maybe they will offer the Sport in the future. Just strange that the other manufacturers don't offer options since the Fit/Jazz is a world car.

I would like the Koni Sport in most applications lower the vehicle about 1" inch. Bilstein would not be bad. Just to have some options besides coilovers.

Tagging for interest.... Might need to chuck these in the GF's GE If she enjoy's her first AutoX on April 21st

I have a new to me set of Skunk2 Pro C's now... They aren't perfect, but they got me dialed in enough where I think just one more spring swap and I can start really chasing power instead of dialing in handling.

Super excite. I really didn't want to have to get coilovers. Tokico never responded to my emails about making an HP for GE so i'm glad someone is going to fill the void.

Keep us updated Codi

I could use a set by 4/21

Either way keep us informed!!! I'm sure if they want to extend a group offer to a willing set of test mules....there are a few folks on here who could happily accommodate
