Input on a fit I'm about to pick up!

Just want you opinion guys on this! Just joined here a few days ago. Finally decided to get a fit because ill be doing 70 miles round trips of work and need something reliable, functional and good on gas. Plus it'll be my 4th honda so I'm not new to them.

The Fit:

2009 Sport with Nav, new tires. 55k miles, clean carfax and 1 owner which is an elderly couple here in Florida, Got them down to $8500. Car is absolutely flawless besides one small shopping cart ding on the door. I think its a really good price/deal, especially buying it from original owners that are "old" lol let me know what you guys think

Wow that seems like a great deal. The new tires is a plus because it indicates regular maintenance. Old people drive their cars carefully and slowly so it should be in great condition anyways.

I drive about 40 miles daily, 80% highway. The most miles I've ever gotten out of a full tank was 290. The Fit's tank is pretty small at about 9.5 gallons.

I don't think I've ever gotten less than 300, usually I'm around 375.

Fit tank is 10.6 gallons btw.

Wow I'd like to know what you're doing to get that much mileage out of it. My friend gets at most 250 out of his but he drives more around town.

Also, I was talking about the gallons to fill from low gas light to full. I have never filled up this car with 10 gallons ever.

I get about 280 in all city driving. I drive it like a racecar every now and then.

I shall keep you fellas updated tomorrow! Mileage seem okay for the year? I plan on doing the miles for work for the next 2 years and then probably off with the fit and into something else ( plan on moving out of fl after those 2 years with he gf) no worries cracking this baby up to 100k? cause I'm sure I'll be close to that in 2 years

Enuf of this old people crap. I run mine rather briskly at 72 soon to be 73.

But yes I do follow the service manual schedule. Hmm where does it say to put on your aftermarket wheels in the Spring?

Are you 72 y/o and soon to be 73 y/o or are you about to increase the speed from 72 mph to 73 mph?

I'm getting 650km (around 400 miles) out of a tank doing 80% highway in my RS. And I drive with my foot to the floor whenever possible. How are you NOT getting this? Currently on 18.1km/l from the last fillup.

This is also a 35l-ish tank (so 9.2 US gallons). I think I squeezed 36l when I filled it up the other day, when it was running on fumes. There's been 150km put on it since then and it's barely ticking off the full line.

My Golf and my Type R cost me $90 a week, this thing is costing me $70 a fortnight. It's amazing.
