Bird poo, what to do?

Bird poo, what to do?
I'm starting out with brand new paint (Aegean Blue) on my brand new car and want to make sure it looks nice for years to come. I don't have a garage and my driveway is nicely shaded by a large ash tree that is also a favorite roosting spot for approximately three million grackles. I live in an area under drought restrictions for watering (with no self car washing allowed at all). What can I use to remove those little presents each morning? Just a spray bottle of water kept by the back door and clean paper towels? Advice appreciated!

I spend far more time on the various detailing forums than I do here.
The best things you can do for bird droppings are: 1) attack as soon as possible to prevent any etching into your paint. 2)soak before wiping with either a waterless wash solution or quick detailer. 3)lightly wipe away the residue with a soft microfiber towel, then flip the towel to a clean side and lightly wipe dry.
I get bombed every August and September when the berries ripen on my neighbors 60 ft. tall wild cherry tree that overhangs my driveway. I cut a bunch of microfiber towels to 4"x4" patches and every morning before I leave for work, I'll spray the spot, cover with a towel and soak the towel.
After a 10-15 minute soak, I'll pinch the towel to pick up any residue, then fog the panel with a waterless wash solution and wipe the panel dry with a clean towel.
Keeping the paint protected with a quality wax also helps in removal.

you can use waterless wash like Griot's SprayOn CarWash. you will not need a bucket or a hose. check amazon for such products.
for bird crap i use a synthetic based quick detailer spray, disposable gloves, and a soft paper towel. while paper towels will haze the paint if you scub the surface it is better than having a nice MF towel with bird crap u will need to wash each time... well, imho. i dont have time to be washing towels everY f-king day.. and i can polish the light haze during the next sealant application.
best u dont park ur car under a tree as sap can get on it too. GL
