Any useful APPs out there?
Hey guys, I just recently purchased a new 2016 Fit.
Just wondering what kind of apps you guys find useful. I am using an iphone.
The guys at the dealer were telling me to purchase the HDMI cable and buy a navigation app that would rival the $1500~ one that they would install on the car. Has anyone used this? I found google/apple maps to be sufficient, only problem is that I'd have to look at my phone if I wanted to see the map.
Also, would there be any benefit from buying the HDMI vs connecting my phone with the lightning usb charger?
Thanks guys

No iPhone but I do have a cellular iPad. I use Gas Cubby to track mileage and service.
I have a stand that suction cups to the dash and holds the iPad when I use it for navigation. See no advantage in using a HDMI connector when the Apple USB works fine. I mostly use Apple Maps and Siri gives me advance warning.
Have you tried setting your iPhone in that cup holder to the left of the steering wheel? With some foam or material added to the bottom of the cup holder to raise your phone, you should be able to easily glance at the screen.

honestly unless ur car has carplay/android auto (or mirrorlink in other parts of the world) it's just better using your iphone to do the maps.. well, imo.
or just get a car with factory nav built in, i guess.
