Hi All,
I recently smacked a curb in attempts to avoid being side swiped. The mechanic said that the tire damage doesn't look all that bad, but is worried that the car might be totaled because the driver's side airbag deployed (from my steering wheel). I drive a 2007 base model fit with about 112,000 miles on it.
Do you think that the airbag is going to cost me my car?

 

Only if you let a dealer touch it. A aftermarket small body shop does not turn in car fax for cash deals usually. Not sure if just anybody can reset the air bag, you could alway tell the deal you set it off installing a stereo.
