2016 FIT Cargo Cover Question

I want to install one of these on my new FIT but heard that there was an issue when you have a car seat with a tether strap in the car.

Looks like the top tether strap might interfere with the cargo cover since it attaches to the back of the seat.

Has anyone successfully installed the OEM cargo cover with a child safety seat installed using a tether strap and the LATCH anchors?

Since the part is so costly and can't be returned, I don't want to order it unless I can be sure it will work.

Love my new fit.

If you don't want to use the cargo cover, you can store it in the trunk.

The seats also recline, so if it's in the forward position, there is a gap behind the seat and cover.

Sorry, I've never used the LATCH anchors. Pages 59 and 60 of the owners manual states that you remove the cover to install the child seats, then reinstall the cover.

Love my new fit.

With the seat that has the car seat, you could always recline it up so that there is a gap between the seat and the cargo cover. You can see what I mean in this thread: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...rgo-cover.html

That's what I'm planning on doing with my homebrewed cargo cover as I couldn't justify spending the insane price that the dealership was asking. I spent about $30 on building mine, and that's a high estimate Pics of diy cargo cover through my sig pic

I installed a Graco Ride 65 LX, but it's rearward facing at this time. I'm expecting a little one any day now...
