Just Sayin'
Just bought a 2016 Honda Fit with that CVT auto tran. Tonight it hit 2400 miles. I've owned it for less than three months. Already, the CVT tranny is surging and malfunctioning. I have to take it back to the dealership Monday.
If Honda continues the CVT on most of its brands, I will switch to some other manufacturer.

I thought everyone is phasing 'em out, due to EPA regulations?
I think you should get a Manual Fit. It'll last foreever if you take care of it.
It seems like taking car back to dealership for repair is the new normal,
due to all the new tech being thrown into cars nowadays.

They're not necessarily being phased out, but, yeah, more cars seem to have 'em these days. I wouldn't have bought my Fit if was the CVT, I can't stand the "feel" of them, even though it's supposed to get slightly better mpg - the 6 speed MT is loads more fun to drive. Not to mention, the LX has no touchscreen BS either - knobs/buttons, and an honest to goodness manual transmission!!! I'm keeping this one as long as possible, as it may be the last chance I'll have to get a stick and no touchscreen crap in a new car in my future.
