I am stuck way up north for another two weeks. Otherwise I'd drop by and say "hello" to you guys. If I didn't have to pay my daughter's tuition at U of C, I'd probably take a few items off your hands. Oh well, guess I have to wait until she graduates before I get any high ticket items. Next is wheels and tires and I'll be sure to get your advice first ...maybe in the spring when my bonus gets paid out... <sigh>

Hey ET, the manifold arrived at Justins house. He is busy this week with something so I will probably pick it up when I come by for the part out (maybe while Justin is parting out, I can part-in in the driveway... )
Justin, I will bring by my stock manifold cover as well so you can put it in ASAP and then whenever you flip your fancy mugen-style one you can just give me a stock cover back later on.

You should get the Test pipe with the extra bung so you can hook the wideband AF to your E-Manage and let it tune itself Apparently it can "Auto-Tune" if you have a wideband hooked up.

really? it will do that? I wonder how reliable the "auto tune" feature would be..

It should keep the AFR's in check and allow you to monitor it as well.

Not sure if the E-manage Blue does that, but I was reading about it in the manual for the Ultimate.
No idea how to use it or how good it is, but would sure save you some cash on tuning it everytime you change something!
Here is a blurb I found about it on MX5, lots of good information on how to use it. Section 13 of the post is specific to autotune.
Everything You Need To Know... - MX5Nutz
Quote:
The autotune feature will ONLY work:
1) If wideband is properly set up in the EMU. To test if it is running properly, look at the a/f ratio in the datalog, it should read close to 14.7 during idle.
2) If the water temperature tab is enabled in the parameters menu. If it is not, nothing will happen. Also, the water temperature must fall within the temperatures specified in the A/F target menu, otherwise the Autotune will not activate, you can select "water temperature" in the datalog menu, thus enabling you to see the actual temperature the EMU is reading.
3) When the throttle activation voltage has been reached. In the case of the throttle voltage input parameters shown above (minimum = 0.43V, maximum = 5.0V). The autotune activation voltage corresponding to 20% throttle is approx. 1.34 V. This is why any low voltage input can be used, so long as it is sent to the TPS input when you want to use Autotune. The 20% activation setting is arbitrary, use whatever value suits.
4) If the a/f target map is activated (selected) in the "map select" menu, and the map filled in with the appropriate a/f values.
5) If laptop is connected and communicating with EMU.

I don't mind. But we will be at ET's house, so you'll be alone on my driveway LOL!

Yeah and no Jon this weekend so it's all me. You can drop by for sure and depending how things are going I might be able to swap the pulley and we'll have to see about the manifold.
It's all fairly simple but I am not sure how long that SC will take to come out and that is the main goal for the day so Justin can drive her back home that night.

we'll spend the whole day on it and see where we stand that night but I'll take as much off as you need buddy, suspension should not be an issue but we will need the stock parts and I have a spring compressor to throw it all back together.
