Calgary auto detail shops: Need protective film for front bumper of '09 Fit.

So I just ordered an '09 Fit Sport MT (Black), should be here in a few weeks. I of course passed on the usual over-priced and (mostly) un-necessary dealer options. (window etching, nitrogen-filled tires, grossly-over-priced floor mats, etc.)

But one option that I'm looking to acquire elsewhere for a more down-to-earth price is that 3M (or similar) clear film coating that is applied to the front of the car to guard against stone chips. Where in Calgary can I have this done, and at what cost?

Call up Icon Auto and talk to Damien, he can give you a quote for the 3m film.
I've used him for all my tinting and 3m needs.

and i might suggest you getting the foglights done in the Richochet film. As they are glass they take one good rock and they goes $250 for a replacement one.

As for your mats, $110.00+ TAX and i have them here

Interesting.... I was going to pick up a set of all-weather mats from Canadian tire. Are yours specific to the Fit?

Thanks for the info btw. I've give them a call.

Maybe JDMish should mention he works at Honda, is a great guy, easy to deal with and that quite a few of us have been going solely through him for all our oem needs cause of his great customer service

Works at Honda, eh? Which dealership and which department? Always good to have someone on the inside to deal with.

Quote received was $429 for the bumper, $209 for the hood, fenders and backs of mirrors, and $128 for A-pillars, forward part of roof and doors. Plus GST. Total including tax = $804.30. Ouch.

I can see getting the bumper and hood area done, as my Fit will prove. I cannot see the need for the rest of the covering as there seems to be no damage from the 30,000K I have on my Fit. The fog lamp covering would be a good deal.

The floor mats are needed from Honda, they clip in and nothing else works right. Canuck Tire will not have anything worthwhile.

Cheers.
