I too had problems with +42 offset rims, I would suggest going with +45 offset if you can. 17's are a tight fit, if you drop it at all you need to beware what kind of tires you run, the best options are Falken and BF goodrich (from everything I have read). I opted to go with 195/40/17's on my +45 RTX wheels which is a rather uncommon size to address the problem.

cool... i'll probably try to make it out to the autox when summer comes.. btw it's a black stock LX right now..
hmm.. getting a lot of mixed information.. read that 16x7 42 should fit tho.. and it's sorta hard to find anything that's around 45 with the styles i want..

Yeah we're both dads now so we're too old for the dirty cold floor thing :P
With that said if you guys really need a place my double garage is dirty, cold, offers no hoist and my tools mostly suck
Also forgot to mention it's poorly lit!

I think you should bring the bar to the meet it might sell better there.
Since it doesn't look like the install will take place for a bit when's the meet?
Do you guys usually have them at Chinook or all around town?

and for life of me after reading pages and pages of the wheel/tire size thread i can't figure out the proper offset for a 16x7 rim if i was to lower with T1R springs... i'm looking at 42mm can someone confirm if these will work?? thanx...

It would be close. I am running 15x7 +41mm. I only rubbed in the front, I'd say if you don't want any problems, you need to go +43mm.

In the SW somewhere? I live in Bridlewood so that would be convenient
If not I say The chinook above ground parkade would be good if it's not too cold or windy. Usually makes for some pretty decent pictures if it's close to sundown.
I can do almost any work night after 7pm or on weekends if I know ahead of time.

Hahaha.. ya I am. Been super busy the past while... rehab from surgery, xmas, getting engaged, Fiance's birthday, and now we just bought a new house!
Needless to say, i'm a po'boy now hahaha.. I probably won't have many mods to show for come spring time, but I'm ok with that for now. I had a lot done in my first 9 months of ownership!
