Official Vancouver Fitfreak.net Spring Meet (Sat March 22nd, 2008)
Spring officially starts on March 20th, and to celebrate winter being over come out and meet up with your fellow Vancouver FitFreaks! This will be a great time to finally show off your summer wheels!
Information Location: City of Vancouver - Downtown, Kitsilano, UBC, and Point Grey
Date: Saturday March 22nd, 2008
Time: 5:00PM till 9:00PM
Sunset: 6:30PM
Itinerary: Meet & Greet, Cruise and Photo Shoot
There will be multiple Checkpoints during the meet so people arriving late or people that have gotten lost can join up at any time. The meet has been scheduled to tie in with sunset that day, so we will be able to see each others cars both before and after dark. The meet will officially end at 9:00PM.
5:00PM - 6:00PM Meet & Greet Downtown (Checkpoint A) 6:45PM - Leave Safeway (Checkpoint B) 7:30PM - 8:30PM Meet & Greet in the Rose Garden Parkade, Bottom Level (Checkpoint C) 9:00PM - Final Checkpoint at IGA on 41st (Checkpoint D, possible non-official cruise afterwards?)
We will meet up and chat until around 6PM. If there is a problem with the primary location beside BC Place, we will be meeting at the secondary location McDonalds on Main and Terminal. At 6PM we will follow the assigned route, towards Checkpoint B where everyone has the option of stopping for a snack (this is optional). Otherwise just continue towards Spanish Banks and the Rose Garden Parkade. Feel free to stop down at Spanish Banks for photo's if the parking lots seem empty. We will then officially meet up in the Rose Garden Parkade (VERY BOTTOM LEVEL) at 7:30PM. We will hang out there until around 8:30PM then make our way to our final destination. The IGA @ 41st and Dunbar for 9PM.
Just a note, there is usually some sort of RCMP along SW Marine Drive so speeding down that road is not the best idea. Try and be responsible while in the group and don't pull a "boosted echo" . Also I usually see VPD cruisers near 41st and Dunbar frequently, so keep it down in that area too.
When leaving a checkpoint we will drive in groups of 4 to avoid bunching up and drawing too much attention.
What to Bring - FRS Radio
- $4 in change to get into the Rose Garden Parkade
- Umbrella/Raincoat
- Camera/Tripod
Another meet during night time? I don't think us FF'ers are a bunch of vampires eh? Would it be possible to make it on a weekend so we can get some day time pictures and such?

I'll update this on the facebook group. Not sure yet whether I can make it tho! Will see, gunna try to keep that saturday open. Would be cool to meet some of you and smatts I still gotta get a decal off you hahah
