Anyone know a decent Dim Sum place thats not gonna cost us an arm and a leg? I am just after "Chung Fun" and "BBQ Pork Buns"
Shouldn't be too much of a difference really just as long as you don't order/eat like crazy....say $10.00 per person. Would that be too much?
If you like to eat "cats & mice", you can try other less known places.
Otherwise, we can always buy take-out "Tai Pao" & BBQ pork buns at Newtown Bakery besides Staples/TD Bank by #3 Road (across from Richmond Centre) then drive somewhere to eat. Believe they open at 10AM.
Alternatively, go to Happy Date or #9 to have congee + take out BBQ portk buns.
the old dragon inn restaurant, the name is changes now i forgot what its called
but their dim sum is pretty good and reasonably priced
I think the best Chinese food is still in Richmond. (j/k)
Newtown's BBQ pork bun is only $1.30 and "tai pao" is $1.85 if my memory serves me right today.
Maybe someone should host an "eat-all-you-can siopao" event at Newtown; entry fee - $10.00!
