feeling punked by the dealership
hey guys, i got my fit at the beginning of the month, with it came aftermarket sendel chrome wheels and eagle f1 tires. Looks great, cool. After some rubbing issues were fixed (offset was wrong) i asked why they werent giving the stockers back to me, because i really will need them for winter, to protect my rims and so i dont die trying to drive in the winter with near slick-like tires. They said what i paid was an exchange cost....so i gave up my stockers, and paid $1000 for an $800 set up? BULL SNICKERS! So im hoping they'll take the wheels back and give me my money and stockers back so i can go out and buy my own for much cheaper, and keep my stockers for winter....any comments on what i should do if they say no?

the wheels are a standard feature on the car and are included in the price. If you pay extra for a aftermarket setup, you should be entitled to the stock wheels as well as you paid for 2 sets of wheels.

well, they said no, and they said it was "exchange price" again...what should i do? im pretty sure i could go back in there and complain till im blue in the face and they'll only tell me they'll sell them back to me for $400

What does your sales contract say? If it just lists "fancy wheels" as a line item, take them to small claims court. If it says "upgrade to fancy wheels" or some such thing, well, live and learn.

Have your atty read the sales contract. And then, no matter what it says, your atty should call them, send them a registered letter discussing the options that are open to them to make you happy and keep their lazy butts out of court.
Most businesses, esp car dealers, don't want to have to go to court or want people knowing that they were sued and dragged into court because they could not come to a fair and equitable solution for everyone invovled. If you paid for the 'upgrade' to your new kicks, then threaten them anyway. They will be more willing negotiate with you and your atty than if you go it alone.
Once your atty gets involved a lot could happen and they don't want to deal with a big hassle. They don't know what lengths you are willing to go to get what you want. All they want is for you to give them money or go away.

I wanted to do the upgrade option as it was listed on Honda website but my salesman told me that it couldn't be done. I had to buy the wheels and they would mount them and give me the stock wheels/tires. I didn't want an extra set of wheels lying around so I stayed with the stock.

yes there is no pay portion of the wheels and get the upgrade and the dealer keep your wheels. You are only able to purchase the wheels as accessories but should still be entitled to the stock wheels.
