Colonial Honda Glendale CA
Well my wife and I live in Glendale and we thought it would be nice to buy from a local dealer so close. But what started off as a being a good experience turned into a bloody nightmare once we sat down and started talking about financing.
My wife and I both have excellent credit ratings (750+ each), and at other non-honda dealers have been approved over and over for under 3% APR for 60 months for ranges between $10,000 and $15,000 in credit. I have no idea what rate these salesmen were giving us because they would not tell us even when we asked them, and when they first came back with a payment of $485/month for 48 months with 4 thousand down I was so shocked I could not even add up that the total price they were trying to charge was almost 30 thousand for the AT base model with absolutely no extras.
We spent another hour and a half in there "negotiating". The best "deal" they would give us was $250/month for 72 months with a 6000 dollar down payment. Three other finance people talked to us trying to pressure us into buying it, all telling us that the minimum Honda (not their dealership, but HONDA) would finance was $15,000. The last guy also called us cheapskates because we still wanted a lower monthly payment and he told us that we just needed to learn how to budget better.
Words cannot express how demoralizing that experience was and how shameless and crooked the salesmen are at that dealership. It was such a bad experience that it has made my wife and I really wonder if we even want a Honda anymore.

don't let a bad experience with coloniel honda break ur decision from buying another honda ever again. I'm going 2 have to agree with you on this one, coloniel honda is extremely expensive + they pressure u a LOT into buying cars that are WELL over MSRP. However, there parts department and service department are much better then sales. I go to their parts department at least once a week to pickup parts from a friend there.
Anyways, if u want a great deal on a honda fit, talk to jdmchris.com out at rock honda. He'll get u the best deal fa sho or go check out the guys at robertson honda in hollywood. Both of those dealers are far supurb then coloniel honda.
On a side note, where in gdale do u live? U have probably seen my blue fit rolling around. =]

Well itīs good to know that the service/parts department does something good there.
We ended up buying a Silver Storm AT Base at Pasadena Honda because the Hollywood dealership didnīt know when they were going to get their next shipment in.
We live in South Glendale, almost in LA/Atwater. Can't say Iīve seen your fit around but Iīll keep my out for it. It looks nice.
