I became the proud owner of a brand new Honda Fit last night thanks largely to the efforts of Lynn Ossie at Team Honda in Lithia Springs, GA.
I sent a letter stating exactly what I was looking for and asking for the drive out price to several dealerships in the Atlanta area. Lynn was the first to respond and give me exactly was I was asking for, rather than call my and try the "what price do I have to give you to not consider calling back the other dealers." Their offer was initially one of the lowest and when I called her back, they matched the lowest price with the least headache.
When I came down, they had the car they promised detailed and ready for a test drive. The pricing was set exactly as we had agreed, and she spent a lot of time with me making sure I knew how to operate most of the features of the car.
Come time to make payment, the transaction went smoothly. The did offer additional services, such as an extended warranty, but did not begrudge me when I declined. They even threw in some services in for free.
In the age of internet pricing information and competitive bidding, the sales process has changed. Buyers are more informed and aren't putting up with long, drawn out high-pressure sales process. I really think Lynn Ossie and Team Honda get it.
