just a question about the bixenons, is the hookup just plug and play?, how does the magnet mechanism get controlled by the levers inside the car?

and how do you disable the DRLs? (is that in the instructions with the kit)

Disabling DRL's is pretty easy, I just followed this DIY:

Your order number is 1167, placed 11/4/2007 at 8:33AM.

Just ordered mine yesterday. Will post pics once they are installed. I went with the 8000K.

Now I need to order the silver turn signal bulbs.

Hi there,

There are many DIYs on how to disable DRLs, most simply involve snipping a wire or removing a fuse. As for the Bi-xenons, yes they are a direct hookup and plug and play. The magnet is controlled by the high-beam function because when the high-beam activates, it sends power to the magnet and causes it to shift, thus shifting the whole bulb for high-beam. Hope this answered your questions, thanks.

Best,
George

If we have to disable DRL for this kit to work, does it mean that Canadians shouldn't be ordering this since we need DRL on our cars?

Yes if you need DRL's in order to pass inspection, you will have to reconnect the DRL function and remove the HIDs to pass the inspection. You cannot run DRL's with HIDs
