Any plans for foglight film for the new 2014 Civic Sedans (non Si)? The fogs are more oval, and not round like the Si.

Thanks

We will be adding them. The last time we were at Honda the only Civic on the lot that had fogs was the Si sedan... It is on the list. We should be back early next week. Finishing up the convoluted headlights on the Coupe...

Saturday Update: Hope everybody had a great Valentines day We had a busy Friday and were able to get out all orders that came in before 3PM CT! If you placed an order earlier than that, it is on its way. Monday is Presidents day, so orders in transit will have some delay. Also with the big snow in the south and east coast, USPS is reporting some delays there as well. USPS will be closed for Presidents day, so weekend orders will begin shipping on Tuesday. All weekend orders should ship our by Wednesday, so most domestic customers will have their orders by the weekend.

Hope everybody has a relaxing weekend!

2014 Civic Owners:

We now have a fog light protection kit here

a Sedan Headlight Protection Kit

and a Coupe Headlight Protection Kit

Both Headlight Protection Kits are more time consuming to apply than the kit for the Fit.

Tonight, February 26, 2013, starting at 11:59pm ET and ending approximately at 2:59am ET on February 27 our servers are going to be getting a cart software upgrade. During the update, our store may be unavailable. Sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience. With luck the upgrades should improve overall site performance!

Answered a couple of customer email’s yesterday about bubbles and the potential for bubbles when applying our lighting protection kits and thought I would share some thoughts.
Air bubbles or water bubbles are usually a result of one of (or a combination of) three things: Insufficient water on the lens / adhesive side of the material, insufficient squeegee pressure, or getting the material too hot during application. If you see a bubble during the application process, no need to worry. All bubbles can be removed during the application process by lifting the area past where the bubble is, re-spraying with water and re-squeegeeing with additional squeegee pressure. The material and adhesive are pretty forgiving all things considered.

After the fact, if you do notice see you left some bubbles, again no need to worry too much, most of the time the bubbles will settle out over time. If it looks like they are small bubbles you can press them down little by little over time (daily) and they can be flattened out. We left a quarter sized water bubble for a dealer display a while back and had them do the same so they could explain the process and show the results to customer who came into their shop. I would really give it a few weeks as almost all we have seen have worked themselves out over time. How long will depend on how hot it is and the overall humidity level. Cold and damp is going to take a while longer than warm and dry.
Patience is key, no worries really.

Newbie Question

Sorry but i'm a newbie here. I've checked the state laws of NJ and there seems to be no legal issues are far as yellow fog lights. My question is will installing the protective film(yellow GT) affect honda warranty? If in the future i decide to take the film off will it leave a mark on the fog lights? Some of the posts i've read said it left theirs with a brown/black kinda like a burnt mark. If so does headlight armor warranty it or guarantee that it won't. And how do you take care of the film? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Can't think of a negative impact on the warranty. Impact damage is not covered under warranty, so protecting the fogs is a good idea.

Yes they are fully removable but they can only be used once. Removal is straightforward. Start by warming the material a bit with a hairdryer and then pick at a corner with your fingers and then slowly peel off - making sure to hold onto the light firmly during the process. You may or may not have left over adhesive on the lens. Leftover adhesive can be rubbed off or carefully removed with an adhesive cleaner.

We have had a small number of people (with a variety of makes) burn the adhesive (not the light itself). The following is part of the product description for all fog light protection kits on the site:

Please Note: New car manufacturers warn you about not replacing any of your bulbs with higher wattage versions, and so do we. Higher wattage bulbs may cause reflector / lens / housing failures even without these covers,. As using these covers, may decrease the lens ability to dissipate heat more applicable to fog lights than to headlights- we also recommend that you refrain from using higher wattage bulbs in conjunction with our high performance covers. We also suggest turning you fog lights off while your vehicle is stationary - stuck in stop and go traffic for example.

As how the kits are used, the bulbs used, and how they are cared for we offer no warranty whatsoever.

As far as care goes, ee recommend that you treat them with a high quality vinyl conditioner every few months, or when you regularly clean your vehicle. Just like the rest of your vehicle, if you never clean them you are certainly going to shorten their life.

Hope that hits all your questions; let us know if you have others.

We will be conducting server maintenance on our servers beginning at 10:00pm CDT, Wednesday, March 12, 2014. In an effort to improve our store's availability, we will be expanding our network capacity. As part of this maintenance we will require our store to switch-over to the new network routing. This maintenance is expected to last approximately 20 minutes, during which our store will be unavailable.
