Owning a Car in the City...

Owning a Car in the City...

IS A PAIN IN THE ASS!

it's new to me. When I moved into queens, I sold my honda prelude. Now that I bought a fit, but still reside in Astoria, I feel the pain and inconvenience of having to move your car due to alternate side street cleaning schedules. So now I have my car at a meter, then I gotta get in my car after the street sweeper goes by and park it in front of my building and then wait in the car until the street cleaning hours are over.

This is nuts. Fortunately it gives my time to set up my new TomTom.

You guys have any advice for parking in the city?

Rent a garage/driveway around your area of residency. There's usually a house or 2 that don't drive but have a driveway vacant.
