Yes, on the 25th. But today is a new day.
And I feel so old right now.
I turn 36 in a few minutes.

I took me forever to rep enough people to get back to you. It is probably going to take a while to do it again. Patience is a virtue.

I ignored all the hype about Ledger, but I got to say, that really was one of the best villain portrayals I have ever seen in my life, if not one of the best performances period.
He seriously deserves the Oscar regardless of whether he died young or not.
The man is a monster and a machine and he completely disappeared into that performance. If I did not know already, I would have never guessed that was Heath Ledger. He was not recognizable at all, makeup or not.
He threw in so many little quirks and tics into the Joker. You truly believed that man was an insane, brilliant, serial murderer.
To me, that performance (as far as being unable to identify the character as a particular actor, to see the resemblance) reminded me of Dennis Quaid in that Kevin Costner movie 'Wyatt Earp'. Quaid played the sickly 'Doc' Holiday, and I had no idea that was Dennis Quaid until the closing credits. He was so unrecognizable, being so thin, gaunt, and pale as a dying outlaw; even his voice was unique for the character.
He went from this:

To this in 'Wyatt Earp':

It could've, but it wouldn't have been as successful. I'm not going to lie, Ledger destroyed and truly was his best work, but his death garnered the immense amount of audiences (alongside being a Batman movie and looking to be real good, mind you).

i saw it again this weekend. i don't think i'll out-do my lotr record of seeing a movie x amount of times in the theater, but i'm hoping to get close.
