Hello fellow Honda Fit Freaks. This may have been posted before and pardon me if it has (you may remove the post), but I was wondering how many of you have an S2000 or traded an S2000 for the Fit. I bought a Fit back in April and just recently sold my 2001 S2000 and kept the Fit. I loved and will greatly miss my S2k, but decided to sell it to save on insurance and gas.

I had a Spa Yellow '01. Though I miss it, it was a toy. It felt perfect parking it in the garage next to my motorcycle (that's gone too) as they were awesome machines, but at the end of the day, they were toys.
I love the Fit. It's so functional and so justifiable!
I did keep my 97 del Sol VTEC for those days when I don't need space (or a kid seat!) and can have a blast. Of course, I moved the snowblowers in front of it and now it's 61 degrees in January. If I can get up early enough tomorrow, I may just move everything to get it out for the day.
I will be getting a Fit sometime in 07 I believe and I own my 2nd AP1.

wander over from s2ki eh?
sold my ap1 right before christmas. just signed the title over last night. was weird watching "my" car drive off. ill just go ninja my brother-in-laws boosted ap2 if i need a fix.
I once considered buying an S2000. But the insurance cost quoted to me was insane for a car I'd hardly ever be able to drive.
Yeah, looks like young folks have a tough time with insurance. Try it when you're 40 and have a family. I pay $600/year for the S (less actually since it's garaged all winter), about the same as my wife's Accord and only $120 more than the fit per year. Age has its compensations... :)

you know I was 34 with a clean record and it was 2x as much as yours with 2 other cars on the policy too. it's the zip code here that's a factor too which I think sucks. Moving from South orange county to North orange county all my policies went up 30% easily. More crime up here.
here's my old Mugen'd out s2k. i'm sure some of you guys knew this car. I used the cash to remodel the house instead.
straying further off course ill add. these days your insurance is impacted as much by your credit score as it is by your driving record. mine was $600 a year for MY00.
I've been paying $395 a month just to keep the S2000 on my policy with multi car discount. Now, with just the Fit, $145. I have a pretty clear driving record with 1 speeding ticket and an at fault accident when I was 17. I'm almost 23 now. My ticket was 2 years ago. I will be buying another S2000 again in a few years, once I can get cheaper insurance. I really really miss driving the S2k on the weekends :( The Fit is really fun to throw around here in the mountains. I've already put 12,000 miles on mine! I love still being the center of attention as well. Random people are always asking me about it, just like the S2k.
Im paying about $250 a month for insurance on the S. Im 21 and it should drop down to about $200 the next time I renew my 6 month policy. :)
Rcantu...I remember your S. You picked it up off Jrod, correct?
Spider...did you have the silverstone AP1 with the Mugen rollbar? I think you were one of the first to run 285 series tires on the car if I remember correctly. Mugen CF top too?
I also owned an AP1. I miss her a lot and will buy one again at some point. I'm 24 btw, and paid $297/month for insurance. Unfortunatrly due to my record, the Fit still costs $259/month to insure. Whatever. I'm happy with it, and those pesky tickets should be gone in a matter of years...
Also, I just hit 10,000 this weekend. People also ask about mine a lot. I think more than the S2K, actually.
