hyperfit is an unknown quantity at this point
Before I discovered the Fit, I seriously considered a Sportwagen, but I was unimpressed.

The Sportwagen seemed boring and without much "sport", the DSG was poorly implemented. It definitely didn't seem worth the $27k+ asking price, although that big sunroof was cool! There are cheaper trim levels, but the dealer basically said we'd be at the mercy of whatever comes in the lot and expect to pay close to MSRP. It's seemed almost impossible to get a TDI wagon in summer '09. The dealer was going to check into ordering one, but they never got back to me. Three months later, there's a Honda in the garage instead.

I'm so happy I bought a Fit, it feels so much sportier than the VW. I call it my urban ginsu knife, it zips through traffic far better than any car I've driven. Parking is a dream. Honda reliablity should be bulletproof. A new VW probably is good enough, but will likely have its issues, and service will be substantially more.

I love a lot of things about Volkswagen, but once the current VW wears out, it will probably be replaced with a Honda too.
