Civic Si Sedan..... hmmmm

Civic Si Sedan..... hmmmm
So, im debating on selling my fit for a Civic Si Sedan. (white w/ navi)
Im trying to narrow down the pros and cons of both cars. Obviously Pros for the fit are, spacious, low fuel cost, low oil change cost, MPG.
Pros for the Civic: Looks good, good power, decent MPG.
Cons for the civic: $$ fuel, $$ motor oil.... Insurance(maybe?)
I'll be 25 next month. so that should help big time. Haven't had a ticket in the pass 3-4 years. (knock on wood)
My new job is actually 10 min drive. So its all city driving..
My fit is VBP Auto. with little bit less than 20K miles on it.
KBB says its worth around $16,000.. especially in this market and the mods that I've done (depending on WHO I sell it to, it could be worth more)
HID fog
HID Headlights
Window tint
Window visors
All season floor mats
Tanabe GF210
16" Konig Brightlite mirror face
viper alarm w/ Auto start
Very simple, nothing done to the engine. HMMMMMM
Suggestions...?

yea man, as much as i love my fit, if i had the money i'd sell it in a heartbeat for a white civic si. and get some gold wheels. but i'd probably get the coupe rather than the sedan. just my style.

man u guys are killing me.. AHHHHHH lol .I know i wanted suggestions... and im just throwing the idea out there.. but im REALLY REALLY leaning on selling the fit for the civic si sedan. its just sexy! :-)
I would get sedan for sure .. (I got a dog)((dont worry I have a HUGE cloth to cover the seat))(((hes just a puppy)))
Anyways..... I'll just throw it out there on this forum first.. and see what I kinds of interests i get.
Time for bed!! And to ALL a GOOD NIGHT!

had to reply one more time..
My fit is paid off already.. title on hand! :-)
Muahahaha
IM SOOO FREAKING excited.... i think i wet my pants...
Hmm.. even Carmax thats selling a fit auto sport that has 43K is selling for $18,000.. wtf?!
I guess demand is still pretty high for the FITS.. which in my case is in MY benefit...Which leads me to my next question....
So how much you think I should sell the fit?

car max will jack up prices unnecesarily though, so don't get too excited. (they wanted 12k for a 96 integra that was in only decent shape.)
the demand for the fit is high, and only the mini cooper bests it in retaining value in a small car.
but you wont get too much if you trade it in, because the dealer will have an easier time selling your fit WITHOUT the mods you have done. only selling it privately will you be able to find someone who wants to take it with what you have done to it. you could part out and get some more dinero and then trade it in.
either way, someone will buy your fit, because again, the demand is very decent.
si sedans look phenomenal in white. thats the color i see the least of.
but at the same time, i see a lot of si's.
but for out of the box performance, the si comes standard with speed and handling. the fit comes with handling and fuel ecnomy. which is more important to you?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have only seen used fits sell for around $14000 and that is stock. Cars that are modded but usually are worth less because there is warranty issues etc..... So I would say if you want to get top price for your car your best bet would be to go back to stock and try to part out. I wouldn't count on getting $18000 for a used fit. I payed $18000 for a brand new fit after taxes etc....

I figured id list my car the way it is and see if anyone bites. If not, at least getting the suspension back to stock and wheels shouldn't be a problem.
The HID fogs/headlights... don't feel like removing and the tint and window visors will stay for sure.
We'll see....

yeah sellilng a modded car is a no go for me.
if i were ever looking into buying a car, and it is modded, all that makes me think is "wow, this dude beat on his car"
it's just what it makes you think, ya know?
so part out, keep the tint (people will like that) and HIDS (people probably won't notice)
and sell it that way

do you really need the rear doors? if it was a Si for me, i would
go for the coupe. :p
but im reading there are a lot of issues on the Si's over at the 8thgen
forum. check them out before you buy so that at least you are familiar
with what issues everyone's dealing with.

get the four door i have one. believe it or not, i'm almost getting the same mpg for teh fit and the sedan. 29 for the fit ( kinda low... but an auto) and about 28 if i keep my foot light and resist the temptation to vtec on the civic. the civic is a really really nice car, i love our fit, but i equally love the civic. they're two different beasts. its up to you.
