nothing will fill my heart with love like my current crx does and after owning 6 of them - well i'd have to aggree the old ones (current ones) look better to me but i'm sure the cr-z will grow on me too, but by then safety and emmissions laws will be so tight, that a motor swap and E85 fuel burning turbo setup like my current crx has will be out of the question

What's wrong with actually having torque?
and turbo diesels are BEASTS.
I like the concaves in the wheels, reminds me of the 370z's wheels kind of haha.
only one this that could break this car. Gas milage. If it doesn't return at least 40-50mpg there would be no reason to get this over a comparable fit. I say this because the engine is supposedly just a bumped up engine found in the insight. But other than that i acually like this car now. The interior look really good to without being over the top

The only way this car will do well as a 2dr is if it brings performance to the table; for the modest increase in gas mileage you lose 2 doors, huge amount of space and put yourself at the mercy of a battery pack that if/when it goes will cost you a small fortune.
IMO: Fit > CR-Z

The back changed a lot from the concept to the production concept. They shouldhave kept the body color matched A pillar. Hopefully that black A-pillar is just a black sticker, just like on the S2000.
according the motor trend it will have a 6sp MT. I think this just change how we look at hybrids

That's ok you don't want the first model year anyway. Wait until the next year to give them a chance to iron out the bugs and recalls.

Diesel engines can actually get better gas mileage than non-diesels. The Smart Car in Europe is Diesel and it gets around 50+ mpg, definitely higher than the Smart Cars in America. Diesel engines are also more powerful than non-diesels. However, from reading the Forbes article, the CRZ will be hybrid.

Im not diagreeing with you... But i just wanted to mension that Europe calculates and regulates MPG different than us. Also there fuel is different then ours.

QFT. The UK gallon is a little larger then the US gallon - that's where the calculation is different. Reconcile the fuel volumes and you'll have your fuel economy figure.
