So, I may just be way out of the loop of what goes on in the UK but when did a Civic Type R hatchback come rolling out? Is there a regular non-Mugen 3-door Type R or is this just a Mugen one-off special? I always thought the UK just had the standard 4 door Type R that Japan has.

Well I feel like a putz! I just went on the Honda UK site and discovered that all the Civics are hatchbacks! All of them except the hybrid. Cazy!
i know that the orginal jdm type r is techincally 'superior' but uk's civic hatchbacks=better than anything honda offers now in japan or the US. (especially the latter.)
its why i liked the ge8's front end so much...its very reminiscent of these uk hatches. i wouldn't specifically want a type r, i would be ok with a sporty type s, and honda desperately needs a civic/mazda3 sized hatch.
