in NY... pedestrian/bikes = right of way

they don't care if you're a semi or in a Smart car. green or red... stop sign or not... they'll cross street/intersections without cares in the world.

my observations...
drivers in NY watch out for pedestrians/bike
pedestrians/bikes in Illinois watch out for cars

I hate it when they drive there bikes on a highway and there a bike path a block away or a sidewalk. You are probably familiar with the north suburbs of Chicago and know how narrow the highways are.

 

Bumping old thread here - My 2009 Fit attracts road rage like no other car I've owned.

Another incident today, driving family home from school pick up. Man backing out of driveway rolls down his window and screams for me to slow down! I ask my wife if she felt I was driving fast - she didn't.

I was going 25. Road had one lane passable due to parking - I had right away. My only guess is small car, 2nd gear, revs = seems fast.
