honestly, the focus handled real well! better than my fit. it was lowered on progress springs w/ front & rear strut bars. but that thing always had problems left & right! the 02's were not made good.
icic, i used to have a zx2 escort with progress springs and rear swaybar as far as suspension goes and it handled pretty well so i was curious about the zx3s. i think the fit's suspension can easily be changed up to be better than my old zx2, but i've never ridden or driven a zx3 haha. thanks!
i just owned a camry 93 xle v6(super sleeper) it looked like it had scales. the clear coat was chipping everywhere, really embarrassed when driving that car.
then i moved on to a 95 accord ex, which was decent. then i thought i was upgrading to a 96 integra rs(wasnt worth it). i got sick of that, so i moved onto a civic dx, got bored then got a fit.
She doesn't look very good... she was mine since she was 16, and got me through high school and college, and did a rallycross and autocross along the way. But I have plans to at least have her fixed back up and looking pretty.
She has 04 WRX springs (fit right in!), a 91 Legacy Turbo rear swaybar, a stock 98 Legacy GT exhaust, among some other things.
The next two are the cars I sold in order to get my Fit:
88 XT
79 GL 4WD wagon
I miss them, but they didn't have a good home with me. I was too busy with college, and the Legacy is my baby.

Holy cow! Your GS looked immaculate. Did it get sold to someone on the forums. I know I'd miss it, I would probably cry myself to sleep the night after the sale. I'd like to make it my project car. Fix the hood, fender, and rear bumper ( all caused from my mom and sister ...... arrrghhh) get new leather for the front seats, and swap in a Type II with a six speed. But, I dunno if that'll fly. In fact, that might almost be as expensive as getting a Fit.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. In fact I had just had an engine and tranny put in from a car that only had 45,000 miles on it!! (because mine was smoking big time). Spent $3800 doing it because I planned to keep it. But when I got the car back, the tranny wasn't near as smooth as mine had been at that mileage, AND to top it off, part of my dashboard was ripped off while it was at the shop!!! OMG I was SO pissed!! Fortunately I spotted it before I drove away and drug the owner out to look at it. Both mechanics denied "touching" the dashboard, but it had gone somewhere else because it had almost 40 additional miles on it from when I dropped it off. I was ready to kill!!! He ordered me a new part - which was back-ordered of course. So it took about 2 months to get it, but after all that, and the not-so-great tranny, and a few other things I suspected would be needing attention soon, I sold it. My husband advertised it on their work board and someone bought it for $4100. It made me sick.

That sucks bigtime. I know that it is super hard to find parts for the Legend, and that they are all expensive. I would be furious if I paid someone to do work for me, trusting that they would take care of my baby, and have them mess it up like that. Did you consider getting another Legend? ( I don't know if I could without giving mine a proper chance, I think it would just make me uber sad for mine)
On a side note - do you have a daughter that shares your love for Legends? <3 hehe (hey, where did all the smilies go?)
