I have a thing for this car also but my experience driving one for a month as a rental turned me off...such a shame too since I a ford fan and really admired their direction as of late when compared to the rest of the Domestics..

ohwell....waiting for the new mazdaspeed3

Looks nice! I think you should slap those on now and go find a winding dirt road to really test them out rally style:).

iowa is pretty flat and empty of winding dirt roads. I had to take it on gravel road about 3 weeks ago. i went 15mph and cringed the entire time.

tires staying stacked in the garage until the temp drops into winter tires temp zone. i'll probably put some paint sealant on them before switching them over though.

Nice car! I recently purcased a performance blue Fiesta ST myself.
Question for OP... How are you dealing with the TPMS on the snow tires? Did you bother buying the TPMS from the Tire Rack or are you just putting up with the TPMS light on the dash?

Nice pick up. I may of gotten a Fiesta ST if there had been one closer than 200 miles away in a color I liked. I do like the blue, it looks really nice in all sorts of light.

I purchased new tpms sensors with the winter wheels. I figure they will last 4-5 winter seasons and that's a lot of time to deal with an annoying light on the dash. Tirerack installed them with the free mounting/balancing option you get when you buy wheel+tire combo. on the focus st at least you can press the hazard button 6 times and then the car honks and you can train the sensors to the car. pretty easy.

went on a short trip with a mix of 70mph and 55mph roads last weekend around 2 hours each way. filling up before i got on the highway then filling up again after getting back worked out to 37mpg going the speed limit and with barely any traffic in the way.

took a couple more pictures and my mud flaps arrived today. banana for scale for any imgurians.

plate is still on the passenger side. i just like it opposite the side of the little red ST on the front. also rolled one of the snow tires next to the car in the daylight to see it with the rear. i'm glad i didn't get the same color as the stock ones.

That's about what I would have gotten in my 2012 Sport A/T with that same style of driving. That's stellar gas mileage for a larger, heavier car with that much horsepower.

got mudflaps put on today. took some pictures even though car was a bit dirty from the rain this week. i'll clean it tomorrow if it's going to be warmer than 40 outside.

fronts were easy just by turning the wheels. rears were a bit harder but i managed to get them on. when i swap over to winter tires i might adjust them a bit while the car is up on jack stands.

Congrats on your beautiful new Ford Focus...

It's really a nice looking car. My wife and I looked at one today. We went to the Ford dealers to to look at the Ford Fiesta. Ford came out with a new 1.0L gas engine that gets 45 or better MPG and they finally started selling in here in America. They have been selling it in Europe for about 2 or 3 years. Believe it or not, not one dealer in Michigan had the of the Fiesta's with the new 1.0L engine in it. They all had the larger engine. The Fiesta was quite small for us so my wife and I sat in a new Focus and were really impressed with it. Roomy and very nice. We still have to drive one but we were both very impressed with the new Focus. Enjoy your new car my friend.

just a couple pictures of some visors i got today. they're weathertech in channel ones. no tape and just the front windows.

the visors were a little scuffed up right out of the box but the fit in perfectly and it only took about 5 minutes.
