Daddy's Winter Project :)

I just started a new project it's an EG hatch affectionately named eggy. Originally Milano red but now it has that plasti coat *#%%@!! on it. Which I guess for a youngster that's fine but now it has to all come off and No it's Not like the vid on u tube where it just comes off in big clean sheets. Ha Ha I will spend many an hour getting this stuff off, but that's one reason the hatch was a good price. Viper Red urethane in a 1 gallon kit with clear is prob. what I'll spray it with. Grey suede headliner, and door panels, black carpet, and silver meshy rims. Function 7 across the rear with a Beaks bar, everything polished silver to match the rims. So lets see what this forecast of the future becomes.

And the A/C works I couldn't believe it!

Tape off valve cover and paint red around the H.
Block sand the letters silver.
New fasteners for tower bar and remove black paint.

Today replaced corner lights.
Wired up one t94 bulb housing to the headlights.
I put a set of blue LEDs in which I'll regret but it does look cool.
Repaired the front LHS forward fender/ bumper brace.
Typical car day have 3 things mapped out to do and the 1st one changes the whole day right. But 3 things still get done by the end of the day just didn't see the last 2 coming at beginning... ;-).

it starts

F7 rear support bar came in yesterday, hbd to me. ;)
She came with F7 LCA.
So she just needs a polished Beaks bar to finish off the street look.
The DC muffler is here and just ordered a s.s. strap to hang it with.
Need to cut an opening in the rear bumper and lip to hang it correctly.

Receiving FM signal!!

Replaced the missing antenna with the help of my #1 helper Hailie Mae! She squished down in driver's well and I threaded a piece of bailing wire down to her from the roof. She pulled the wire/cable out and we had that cable down and to the head unit in about 15 mins. Found the release tools for the radio and we where jam'n to FM stereo :):). She is great with cars and likes learning/ doing stuff w/ cars, I'm a blessed daddy.
We also painted the H in the valve cover & sanded off the paint in the letters. Always liked the H painted red on the D series SOHC motors.

2 into 1 cold: beverage anyone?

Met up w/ Chris & his brother today, and bought a ruff center shifter bezel w/ drink holder. The guts where usable, so very carefully changed them into the OEM housing in eggy and cleaned up the whole console. And it looks really good. Plus I have an old hatch with a drink holder!
And a great used carpet in the deal. Vacuum and use Woolite spray rug cleaner on it.

Pulled the 3 wipers and etched primer and painted flat black, new blades in the front J hook. But the hatch is a 10" refill only! found them for 12.00 shipped Ha Ha Ha, for a 3.00 refill?!

So I cut down a wiper blade i had on the wall and installed that in the arm. :)
Notta, zilch, FREE!

Love saving a buck or 2.

FOUND A CLUSTER W/ TACH! Yeah
It's the little things right.
On CL for 30, eBay is 120-170

Put the wiper arms w/ new blades back on and the 3rd one works like a charm. :)

Got the tuneup parts in today from Rock Auto plug wires and fuel filter. Ordered Bosch copper plugs from Pep Boys online went to pick them up and they were upgraded to iridium plus with 4 ground electrodes same price! Clear red cap and rotor that didn't work on the B motor but will on this motor. And a 5/30 oil change/ w/filter.
and so goes another step towards the Ultimate EG! lol

Tune up / oil change night

Pulled the dizzy and Hailie helped replaced the oil seal and clean it up, and a full tune up. The NGK plugs where about 1/2 way gone and the wires where mismatch k-mart specials lol. Nice tan-white color on the electrodes which is correct. A Napa wire set and Bosch "Platinum 4", plugs took the place of the originals. The cap and rotor button was a mis-buy for Lil Red, but it turned out to be the ticket for today! changed the oil w/ regular old 5-30wt & filter, Purolator 4459.
Running smooth as silk, no missing.
Tomorrow the fuel system new filter and clean T.B. and intake and Seafoam in the tank with a fill up.
zoom zoom.

Took her out for an early morning spin and it was a Blast. Filled er up and I'm like'n this 1.99 gas, it was like 7.00 to fill it up! Came back changed out the fuel filter and detailed that area a little.:) Took out the odometer from the Si cluster and buffed out the lens in prep. for the swap. Then I'll have a tach in the dash yeah, it's the lil stuff, right. Wired up the 194 light in the second headlight and changed out the blue bulbs for LED white. all this in 3 hours, some days just rock!

6 Spoke Integra Rim buffed and a new Muffler!

Went out this morning and dropped EGgy off at the muffler shop. Got her home and pulled one of the wheels and buffed out the spokes and lip! What a difference and of course added a civic Si sticker on it. Next the center cap "A" is outta here and a "H" will take it's place.
