Sound test
So I'm going to test the sub in a box before i cut the carpet in the cargo area. Last night I was sprucing up a 1.3 cf box I recieved with a car. Wasn't bad just the edges of the carpet material was loose at 2 of the seams.
After working on the gray material that is commonly used on sub boxes I wondered what the ingredients are that make this stuff, I'm sure hair is one of the major ones, lol.

rear bumper impact insert was melted over the tail pipe section.? so after thinking about the situation i made a mold for the back on the insert out of plastic pipe covering we use on chiller piping. 2- 3.5"x4" patches duct taped on. use a little great stuff and will carve out with a hacksaw blade tomorrow. it'll work like a charm!

750 rms 1500 peak at 4 ohms for less than 70.00!
Also added a bag of poly material inside the box.
There's a utube video of the rockville with a bunch of kicker speakers, and it was tearing it up!
Check it out :

hey Glenn
ya its a fun time with this one. It's just starting to look like a car again its alot to sort out and detail but with every one I do these days it gets easier and more extensive which rhymes with expensive lol.
Id like to really expand my painting techniques on the next one I tell ya watching the videos of other people's projects is inspiring. and there are so many new paint types, its like looking for fasteners at Home Depot .... overwhelming! ha ha.
we are getting a lot of rain so I have to put off painting the last parts which is disappointing, but I can start on the sound system.
post up some pix of your son's work its so easy now with a cell phone to start a thread and add pix.
well best to you and your son.
remember its all about what you see in your mind's eye in the beginning and what the end result is and how close the 2 meet.

I hear you about the paint. They have this water base paint which dries fast and then the clear coat. Seen in on Wheeler Dealer during their CVCC episode. Should be easy to work with.
I see your under a Tropical storm advisory. We are in a drought again and finally got cooler.
He has been taking pictures during the rebuild but has not worked on it in a few months. The car is welded together but no interior and has to paint it too.
