PRM was founded in 1996 by Gerry Sica
inventor of the patented in-line filter co-named
Jet Stream Intake System. The award winning
filter design received high acclaim at the 97 SEMA
show and was featured in many performance
magazines. Our in-line filters accomplish 3 fundamental
duties in the performance arena.
* Cleans incoming air with free flowing washable cotton gauze media
* Draws ambient air safely with no worry about rain
* Straightens out air flow = more torque & hp.

I had a K&N Typhoon installed on my silver Fit. I got the PRM from Gerry cause I know his Intakes are awesome. It took me a little time but I finally got it installed. Install is super easy and straight forward. As far as butt dyno, I feel it has better throttle response and a little more tq in the midrange over the K&N. I was down at KW the other day picking something up and we threw it on the dyno for kicks. It made 99whp from a base of 93! My white fit when i had header, testpipe, catback exhaust made 100whp. This Intake i would say is definitely the best out there. BUY IT NOW!
really? I have it and don't notice more pickup anywhere in the rev band. And I have skunk2 50mm exhaust as well to add a few more whp. Maybe my butt dyno is broken lol but it sure as hell sounds badass ;P

Have you ever tried replacing the filter that the KW supercharger comes with, with one of these?
do you think it'd help on a FI setup, i'm just wondering why other companies haven't thought of this design, sorry if i'm a little skeptical, but the theory behind the design of this filter is almost a completely opposite to the theories of the HKS style filters, not that these filters don't look cool, i've just never heard of them.

I second that! Its not like the aftermarket parts' patents protect anything these days (Not even sure if this design is patented), so that reason can't really fly
Besides, PRM's last award was what... SEMA 1997? That was a while ago... And I don't think you could even consider that an award, more than a marketing device.
I'm not trying to be a whore, i'm just trying to ask the right questions here Chris. Honestly, I'd LIKE to hear that this PRM bolt on is the best. Thanks for any extra info you got man
