THULE FTW!
Yakima is okay too but I find the fit kits, locks, mounting accessories etc. to be higher quality on Thule. You can usually pick up a decent set on eBay if you look hard enough.
New it should run you between 200-250, depending on the type of snowboard carriers you choose. And, what shop you go to. I like the shop way even though you pay retail mark up they should do the initial measuring/mounting setup for you for free which takes 30 to 60 min. depending on the employee and the vehicle. My guy wasn't to brightest (even though his tag says "Rack specialist") so it was about an hour. But after that taking them on and off is a breeze. (If I want to do last minute kayak trip I'm ready to go in 15-20. (rack on, kayaks strapped in) Even quicker if you've got a buddy. Snowboards should be a breeze.
I got bike and 'yak holders used on ebay but got the rack and mounting hardware new - $300 for everything. And it comes on and off in 5 min. tops.
Yakima is good quality but it just looks less beefy/sturdy/solid vs. Thule stuff. Except their cargo cage trays/expedition type stuff for SUVs.
Also, you can use Yakima parts on Thule bars; you just have to pop out a couple pieces of plastic on the clips to change them from round to square. Sometimes you can save money this way buying a cheaper Yakima snowboard carrier for your Thule rack... But, you can't put Thule stuff on Yakima racks. Unless you got an old Yakima system where the load bars are square instead of the newer round ones.
GL with finding everything you need.
