Skunk2 Lowering Springs

Skunk2 Racing Lowering Springs offer superior handling performance, an aggressive stance, and an extra smooth ride. The same engineering and quality that goes into our racing springs also goes into all of our lowering springs. Each spring is CNC-wound using SAE 9254 spring steel, shot peen stress relieved, and corrosion protected using phosphate and powder coatings. The result is a spring that offers racecar handling, yet maintains smooth and comfortable ride characteristics. Skunk2 Lowering Springs lower the Honda Fit approximately 1.5” front and 1” rear. Includes two front and two rear lowering springs.

* SUPERIOR HANDLING
* AGGRESSIVE STANCE
* EXTRA SMOOTH RIDE

SPRING RATES Front: 175 lbs./in. - 3.1kg/mm
Rear: 350 lbs./in. - 6.2kg/mm
Part #: 519-05-1750

Is there a reason why your springs have such a contrasting spring rate then all the other springs on the market? I noticed that all the other companies and event the factory spring rates carry a higher rate on the rear. Is there a performance difference/advantage?

A good question! The reason they're contrasting is that our web guy(me) posted the information reversed. The front and rear values should be swapped. Check the original post for the updated spring rates.

I've upped my caffeine dosage to avoid further incidents. =]

Whaaat?? The other advertisements have the spring rates with the heavier spring rate in the front. After a quick check I see they have been changed in the other places. DOH! I guess I'll have to go edit a lot of my posts about these. I guess I was humored by the help desk too.

Strange, we haven't had that problem with the Fit lowering springs before. Give us a call at (951)808-9888 and we can help diagnose the problem and hopefully figure out what may be causing it.

George02,
Is there some sort of wrap for the lower coils on them where they meet the perch? I know a bunch of springs I have installed have had this and if not, or if you didn't install it, then they may be rubbing the perch.

Define "noise". Did you cut the bumpstops when you installed the springs? This could cause a little noise. Post up some info and maybe we all can help.

So I read in some older posts that the Skunk2 springs are not progressive... is this true?

I am trying to decide on whether to get Tanabe GF210s or the Skunk2 springs.. I am currently running Tein S-techs and I find that they ride really nice and are not too harsh, but the 1.8" front/ 1.2" rear drop is just way too much for my liking. I want a spring that is a touch higher that still retains a high quality ride... I don't want anything too stiff.

Excellent... and the ride height isn't too low correct? My tein springs have both wheels tucked.. no gap at all on my stock wheels.. I want gap.. its just too low to get around my city
