The fit is an American honda car. The Jazz is Japanese. The Jazz is a much better vehicle than the fit. Jazz comes with sun roof, a nicer back hatch door, Side view mirrors with signal lights, better suspension, original alarm, better paint job. The fit has none of the before mentioned, it's tank is too small for the engine and the engine is weak. Fuel Economy show the fit averages 31 mpg. So my good friend the fit is a cheap replica of the Jazz. If you have a Jazz your car is 100 times better then mine.

The Fit is not a replica of the Jazz. The Fit is simply the Jazz, redesigned to meet North American safety requirements and public needs. There are some differences, but minor. Paint quality is the same as the USDM Fit (1st-gen) is/was made in and shipped from Japan. Also, the USDM Fit gets the most powerful Fit/Jazz engine available, the L15 VTEC. In Europe and Japan, the engine choices include the L15 as well as the L12, L13, and L14 i-DSI. And I'm pretty sure the gas tanks are the same size, too.

The EDM and JDM Jazz body kits won't fit the USDM Fit and vice versa because the Jazz front end is different from and shorter than the USDM Fit front end. The dashes are also slightly different, particularly on the passenger side. Other than that, most everything else will fit. Intakes will depend on which engine you have, though, and exhaust set-ups for the USDM Fit may stick out if put on the Jazz because the Jazz has a shorter rear bumper (the hatch door itself is the same).

damian-fonseca, here is a nice site with good info about Honda Fit vs Jazz:
Honda Fit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And here is a nice timeline that shows which model apeared when:

jazz_do_it: I have a Jazz (GD1) and I can use parts from the Japaneese Fit or almost any other Fit/Jazz that is NOT from US. I have just got parts from Hong Kong for my Jazz and there is no issues with it not fitting.

The only problem I got was my new rear lights. I have a red foglight in my orginal lights, but there was no place to put the bulb in my new lights.
