i have this exact size and offset your looking at and have no problems at all. under all normal driving conditions there is no rubbing at all. but due to the substandard highways here in Nj have to be careful at high speed of dips in the road. will be a slight rub in the rear in that situation only. yesterday had two 200lb plus passengers and 3 5 gallon water bottles and was not rubbing or issues at all. i am at stock height with stock suspension just in case you were wondering. the tire size for this application is 215/35/18. good luck and post pics of your new shoes when you get them on. here is an idea of what it will look like in the stock setup for you.

Just found this older thread, lol.
This is very close to the wheels I'm looking at. I was trying to find other posters on the forum with 18" rims. Wasn't for sure they would work or even look that good with stock suspension; While I like the "slammed" look, lowering is not an option for me as my car's a DD and roads here stink. Thanks for the info on this thread.
I agree your car looks good too. BOM ftw!

18's will work... barely if you have at least a minimum +45 offset and find some 205/35 tires

Yeah- I'm looking at new tires as well if I go that route for sure. I haven't made up my mind yet. I really have wanted 17s for a while now, but can't really find a wheel I really like in my price range. I love the BBS wheels, and think they look great on the Fit, but my wallet can't afford those, so I'm looking at maybe doing something a bit different. I don't think just any 18s would look good on the Fit, but if you can find the right style, it might look pretty good combined with some other mods.
Anyway, thanks for the input.

Yeah I want to own BBS rims one day too

You should see if there is a dealer for MMR, they make a nice knockoff of the split spoke BBS wheels for dirt cheap (I think it is called the GT-1) in 17x7 with +42 offset. Use with 195/40's for rub free results!

Cool- Thanks Sugarphreak, I'll def check into those.
After some research, I've decided to go with a 16" wheel or no larger than 17's. Its too hard to find 18s that look decent, not too mention the thinner tire issue, potholes etc.
The 16s I'm looking at are the Drag DR20s in blk or something similar. I really like the look of a deep lip on the wheel- I just think it compliments the lines of the Fit better.
I'm wondering, if I go with say a 16x7 w/40 offset will it rub on stock suspension?
