"Does that Fit have V-TEC?"
Was driving to the bus station today (would still like to know who in the area owns a VBP sport fit with the license plate GR8 FIT, bought in bremerton. This fit parks there almost everyday) and a slightly riced last gen celica was kinda riding my rear, wanting to drive fast down the road. Traffic wasn't letting either of us do this.
We end up side by side at a light, nice straight stretch of road in front of us. He revs his engine when the light changes to yellow, at green, we both floor it. The fit launches like a mofo (I do love launching 4.56 gears) and keeps the celica gt-s at bay through 2nd gear. He shifts to third and just starts to reel me in and chew me up. But a pick up truck was in his lane ahead and he didn't have enough room to cut in front of me, seeing as the accelerator was still mashed to the floor by my foot.
We get down to the turn offs for the freeway and we end up side by side again, opposite sides. I look over, younger asian male, and give him a nod. He nods back with a smile and lowers the pass side window. I lower my window and he asks, "Does that Fit have V-TEC?" Thanks to the trucks around us I have to have him repeat it, I answer yes to the repeat and he smiles, nods, and says, nice. That's it....
Don't know if it's a kill or not, but I really want to get this car down to the track and see what kind of 60ft it has.
