Cruise to Alder Lake/BBQ Potluck

What: Cruise out to Alder Lake and a BBQ
When: August 28, 2011
Where: Start at my place in Spanaway, go through Eatonville, end Rocky Point on Alder Lake
What to bring: Your Fit, at least 1 dish
Time of Cruise start: 2pm
Arrival at Alder: 330ish?

Details:
This is a cruise, not a go fast fun run. We will be leaving my place around 2pm and heading out towards Eatonville. There will be a gas up at the Safeway on 224th and Meridian. Cheap on the wallet but not harmful to your tank

From there its almost a straight cruise out to Eatonville, then head onto the eatonville cutoff road and drop down onto Alder. Rocky Point is roughly 2 mi from Sunny Beach, which is where the cutoff road meets Hwy 7.

We need to confirm a date and amount of cars attending so my parents can get things ready.

Also, I need to know who wants to bring what. Their food supply is fairly limited so we will be bringing everything out there to them. They have a bbq, oven, power ports, etc so if you need to reheat or cook (burgers, hotdogs, steak, etc) then that we can do easily. Also, cups will be needed (if soda is brought in bottles) but plates and napkins are taken care of.

I'll start the list of attendees. Put a note next to your name with what you are gonna bring.

1. Scorpmatt +1
2. Feichai - Burgers/Buns
3. Angryfit +2 - Hot dogs/Buns drinks?
4. Kylerwho +3? - something from Safeway
5. theindiearmy - something from Safeway -Maybe??
6. Ekonetics +? - Potato Salad and Chips
7.
8.
9.
10.

After a talk with my folks, a date has been set. the 4th is Labor Day weekend and not a good one for us to drive out there with a group of cars.

regular doritos, regular potato chips, bbq chips all seem to go over well.

I'd say pick one and another person can bring a different kind if they like... or something.

^ hey scorpmatt, are there gonna be places nearby to do a run if we need to? cause that can be another alternative if we want, just meet up, cruise over, and then do a quick run of things we're missing or something?

Thanks for the suggestions Matt.

I'm excited to go for a nice cruise out somewhere, since it's been awhile.

We are stopping at a Safeway for fuel, so if you need to grab stuff there you can. If all else fails, there is a small store in Elbe just 2mi down the road that carries food stuffs. Prices can be high there so it's better to get it at Safeway.

I'll be there. I'll just get something from Safeway when we gas up. Also talking to the pops about bringing his Fit, but I don't think he's interested at this time. I'll talk to him again about it soon.

aw man, such a bummer for me coz my wife is working that day - evening shift, i hate nurse's work schedule...so i'm left with the baby at home and she wouldn't want me to bring our 2 month old baby with me without her coming...i'll try to go to the next one for sure!!

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to back out of this one. Things fell in place for me to take the Fit on a road trip to Crater Lake. I don't think I'll be back by 2:00 on Sunday to make this. If that changes, I'll certainly let you know, but for now, I'm going to have to cancel.

I'm going to have to cancel as well since i don't feel right for putting my one month old on a long car ride anytime soon. She didn't like the Oregon trip we made last week at all. Hope you guys have fun out there.
