Morning, ladies. I'm only working two days this week, so I'm putting myself in the vacation mindset already. Hopefully won't have much work in these two days. *knocks on wood*
It's a great feeling, especially since it's going to be such a long one.
And yeah, it's been ridiculously hot here lately. Supposed to be 100 today and has been close since the beginning of last week. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if it weren't so damn humid. At least it's supposed to start coming back down towards the end of the week.
Yeah, I'd take Arizona desert over this. When I was in Las Vegas last year, it was so much easier to deal with. 96 degrees out there was more comfortable than 75 here just because you didn't have to chew your air and you weren't sweating your ass off the minute you stepped outside.

Ugh! So my San Ramon store that i was hired at, put me on the schedule to "transfer" over to the Danville store for 3 days, 24 hours. My manager didnt ask if i was cool with it, or anything and to be honest i didnt really feel comfortable to tranfer already being new and only being there for about 1month.
Yesterday was my first shift there, and it was a long ass 1-10 shift. I get there and im the only bagger there. They were super busy, i dint know where anything was, i didnt know anybody there. And no one was willing to help, or cared to help me out when i was in need. Not only that but it was small and crammed and not as well ran as my store, the checkstands didnt even have belts so i was constantly reaching for the food to put into bags and with big orders it made it take about twice as long. Soo stressed. An hour later a woman checker came in to start her shift. From the get go she was un happy with me. Acting like i didnt know how to do my job, really having an attidude mith me. For no apparent reason? Whenever i asked a question, she gave me a smart ass "figure it out". So it was hell. 9:30 comes around and she hands me an insanly long list that SHE made. It was a "things to do before closing list". It had tripple amount of things to do compared to my store. She then mentioned how NOBODY has signed the list in 3 weeks and how she really wanted my to complete it. So i asked where this was and where that was, she then said she was too busy to help. NOBODY WAS IN THE STORE! I followed her outside and watched he talk on her cell phone...I was furious at this point, BUT i contiued to knock out things on the list that i could. 5 mins left in my shift i deliver her the list with the checked off things that i did. She comes to me again, pretty much accusing me of lying about what i DID do, saying that she didnt see me do it, and how she hates liars. So i went off on her, i was soo sick of her shit. We had a full blown argument, beofre i just walked away, clocked out and left. When i got home i was soo pissed, told my parents what happened and they both agreed that i dont deserve that BS. So today i had a 1-10 scheduled, i called in sick and im going to talk my store manager today about what happened.
UGH! Sorry its probaly really confusing but i tried haha.

as someone who works in a supermarket, i can totally relate. i hate nothing more then to work with people who dont feel like being there, and dont give a shit. if you dont want to work, why do you have a job? alot of front end people in my store are young, so theyre constantly calling out, being rude as hell to the customer and straight up not giving a crap. i remember when i was 16, i wanted a job and i always treated it like it was soemthing serious, but now, people are just there for their aychecks,, not realizing their nasty attitudes really suck for everyone else.
Been there, done that. When I started working at the local grocer, everyone was nice. a year later half those nice people left and were filled in with people who really didn't care that much. Oh, they were somewhat nice, but that was about it.
I had a day when three of the lazy-ass baggers (I was a bagger) decided they would rather chat than go outside in 90F weather and gather carts, even though we had NONE inside at all! Guess who spend the next hour and a half gathering 110+ carts on a busy Sunday? ME. Not those selfish butts sitting inside, standing around, doing jack ish, enjoying the AC.
That, and my manager was not too bright and not a people person at all.
Apparently, discard = disguard, swat = squat, etc. Horrible speller. And he had degrees in things like "Managing People" and other store related stuff. Never seemed like he ever expected much from himself =\
There were some nice people, but those lazy bishes "spoke" louder than the nice folk. I'm pretty sure I was the only competent bagger when I left. Two and a half years and I'm never looking back.

working with the public sucks!!!! some people are just SPECIAL!!! when i worked at best buy i had this luck like no other i would always get the stupid people ugh!!!!! i hated that shit. but sorry about ur day tool
Cojaro, yes i hear ya about that. I am 16 as most know, i own and pay for my Fit in full. My parents dont help me with anything. I respect that fact that i have a job, and i at work i give 100% effort all the time. now the other 16 yr old baggers i am friends with, but at work they sit around and hide out and talk lol. Leaving me the only bagger for 12 checksatnds. But whatev, it keeps me busy. They just dont care if they lose there job, they have it for extra money, none of them have cars or even drive, none have any bills, and they all screw around at work. I guess thats common. lol
