Stock td04 19spike falling to 16.5 I tossed around the idea of swapping it out, but it's a daily driver and i have plenty of other things to spend my money on right now.
either way a 300hp neon is still a fun car to piss people off.
Does it sound like its under water? You know how the SRT4's have that tone and gurgle on the exhausts?

a little bit. The best explanation i have heard is "It sounds like it has asthma". intake, turbo, bov, gurgling exhaust, random "POP" from backfire.....yeah, it makes all kinds of weird sounds.
My car makes similar sounds, or it did. Now its nice and quiet, (Evo8 muffler) BOV is quiet, (TiAl 50mm) but once you slow into boost you hear the spooling and 38mm dumped gate.

Its not a high HP motor. Its a 2.2L 12valve SOHC. It makes torque.
My old T3 made 211whp and 287ftlbs at 13psi, 2in intercooler pipes, horrible 2in intercooler and no BOV. Hahha! On a Mustang dyno too.
I think I ran a 13.9@105mph on that set-up. Nothing fast but it wasnt slow. This was years ago also, when 13's was the shit. I basically go by MPH when I see cars run. You can have a low ET but have no MPH. Meaning all you have is traction.
I havent tracked or dynoed the current set-up. Its fun and pretty quick but Im scared to be disappointed.
It feels like a 108-111mph car. While thats not awesome its not slow.

I know what you mean. I won't bother running my car with out slicks or dr's. I know i will be short on traction once it spools up (almost instantly). 1st and 2nd gear is a joke on street tires.
Exhaust. And do hardpipes, glad you arent on the OEM rubber ones still though.

lol. upper hard pipe, lower is oem, BUT only about 6inches is rubber, the rest is a hard pvc plastic. I would replace that, but then i lose a bit of ground clearance, and I have enough problems in that department.
the exhaust is 2.5 inch with a resonator and cat. I really don't want to get any louder for daily driving. I am thinking about putting in a e-cutout to bypass the resonator, but it's a lot of money for such little gain.

So you have an aftermarket 2.5in exhaust or the OEM one with everything stock?
Hahha! Cause stock its 2.5in 2 thin resonators and a cat right?
Why didnt you go 3in? I was thinking of a cut out on my 6. I think my full exhaust is holding me back.

stock = 2.25 2 resonators 1 cat
mine = 2.5 1 cat + resonator
I went with the 2.5 so i didn't have to change the downpipe or o2 housing and keep the cat.
