My only criticism is that the angle is a bit steep. I would have leaned it over more towards 45 degrees. As it is, it forces my foot to bend back slightly at the ankle towards the vertical. I think it would be more comfortable if it enabled your foot to be more towards the horizontal. However, I'm not sure if this is due to the design of the pedal or the design of my size 13 foot.

Who knows? It works out for my size 9.5 foot.

Also, I'd recommend it for any Fit driver, regardless of type of transmission. AT here.

delivered and installed today!

took less than half an hour.

Does its functions real well:
-helps keep the body balanced while cornering
-gives the foot a spot to rest against the wall without ruining the carpet
-looks decent enough

I think it could be a little wider and the angle of the pedal maybe not so sharp. it kind of feels like a shallow ditch (or maybe i just need to get used to having my foot at a new angle)

other than those minor issues, it is a great addition to my Fit

Thanks Zeta Products!

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

BTW, Zeta is mentioned in the current (May 2008) issue of Honda Tuning magazine. Page 40 shows a real cool Fit with a lot of our stuff installed. The dead pedal too! ;-)

Installed mine 2 days ago. Pretty sweet mod I must say Although figuring out how to remove the top of the kick panel (that #(%&#(ing rubber piece confused me for a good 15 minutes) was a PITA, as well as aligning that damn trunk release with the dead pedal at the same time to the screw-holes while at a weird angle leaning into the car... But it's my fault, not Zeta's! I think I may have applied the nonskid strip on a little off-angle, but it's not noticeable. Same with the door sills lol but they look sweet!

the only difference in 08 and 07 fits is that the 08 fits came with this annoying thing called TPMS - tire pressure monitoring system. everything else in the world fits both years ;-P

Thanks for the interest. I have no plans to run a group buy at this time. The pedals are screaming out the door, so there is no incentive right now to drop the price. I will sell what happens later in the month.

ok...can i ask a stupid question....

how much weight can the pedal take? i mean, if im cornering hard or for whatever reason i have my foot on the pedal and i put pressure on it will it bend? how much weight before it does? and the reason i ask is because it seems that the two bolts it uses would just give or the metal rail bend if you really put your weight to it...of the pedal break...

i know it may be a really stupid questions but im my mind, i see myself doing some turn and that pedal just bending right out of shape under my foot...is the pedal more for you just to "rest" your foot while driving on the highway?

LiL Wee FIT will become famous soon enough
The dead pedal is actually pretty solid.

The two bolts that are used to mount it don't hold all the weight that you exert. If you look at the back of the dead pedal, there is a L-bracket welded on to support your weight when you press down. Also, with the way that the dead pedal is mounted to the car, when you press on it, the pedal will be pressed towards the vehicle's panel, therefore, the 2 bolts are not seeing as much forces as you may think.

Also, the dead pedal is made out of a pretty thick gauge of steel, it is not easy to bend / deform.

In other words, you have nothing to worry about
