Need help with choosing wheels for my GD3
I don't have a lot of experience with finding replacement wheels for a vehicle, but I just bought a 2008 FIT sport 5-speed manual, with 53k original miles on it from a neighbor. It's been garage-kept and it looks brand new. I paid $5700, if you can believe it, and I would like to upgrade the wheels. The car currently has the stock alloy wheels, but I was looking to get something sportier, from Honda if possible.
How do you go about choosing the correct size to avoid rubbing? What wheel sizes are on your FIT? Is there a repository of older Honda rims (from a civic or CRX for instance) that might also fit the GD3? Are there other simple mods you'd recommend? Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this, and I love the GD3. I'll try to post a pic once I figure that much out. |
Thanks anyhow.

Hey Oblio, welcome to the forums! Things are kinda dead here, but keep us updated on what you find out!

Welcome.
Lots of wheel threads on this topic. Pretty much any OEM wheel that is 4x100 will fit just fine. |
Thanks folks. Appreciate the help.

Offset
Remember the OEM Enkei's have a 55 offset. A lesser offset with same tire size may result in rubbing when you hit a bump.

Welcome @Oblio
Man that is a super-low mileage GD3! What a great "find" in your own neighborhood. Some will search nationwide and not find one that nice. Others have pretty much summed up the wheel experience. Also, search and you'll find lots of threads on the topic, some old so the wheels discussed may be not available, but the specs are relevant regarding offset, rubbing, etc. |
