Give your local junk yard a try might find an orange fit for parts.

It’s been sitting for months and I still can’t find a door

Picture please!!
California yards may have those but your delivery charge will be comparable to the cost of new door (shell)
Plus:
  • Any car that enters low end junk yard (like PYP) is treated like a scrap, so every body part will have dents, dings and scratches (meas you'll have to paint it anyways, unless your car looks like mine :))
  • Door panel can be damaged during transportation/delivery
  • You will have to fit your "new ""used" door to the frame using sledge and old phone book (yes, I know what I'm talking about!); been there done that
  • the color will almost always mismatch, unless its black or white, therefore, if you want good looking results, paint job is a must (used door is a good choice either for car that is either less than 5 years of age or over than 20 years of age)
So, depending how badly damaged is the door, your choices are:
  • replace door skin and have a shop paint it
  • order door online from full service wrecking yard and have body shop finish the job
  • file insurance claim and let it deal with the rest (this is why I still carry full coverage)
  • if damage is only cosmetic, live with it!
A door on my local PYP costs $45 plus taxes + freight cost is for oversize item + labor to install and adjust =$$$
PS: 90% of this forum users are ordinary drivers, with apprentice car repair levels, or copy and paste experts who never done anything they are trying to teach other people

There is one on PYP in Santa Fe Springs California.(arrived today)
If OP has a friend or relative here it would be possible to get it but I have no idea how expensive it will be to deliver it to the town where the car is
