Replace clutch: OEM? Recommendations?
Hello,
so my Exedy OEM replacement grade clutch is dying after about 65000 miles. It’s not great clutch life but the kit was not expensive so I’m happy.I plan to replace the clutch this spring. im not running mods, I’m not racing and want something that shifts as smoothly as OEM or better. I found the Excedy was rather meh as far as being grippy but it was ok. I’m thinking of going OEM. Anyone have any other suggestions? im also probably gonna replace the following: throwout bearing (with SKF) crankshaft oil seal pilot bearing pressure plate rear engine mount (with OEM) trasmission mount (also OEM) I could open the tranny and clean the magnet and replace the main (input shaft) bearing and oil seal while I’m in there. Worth it? Am I forgetting anything? thanks! |
Input shaft bearing is common failure if you are brave enough to pop up the trans

Why not while you're in there..:thumbups:
