CVT ECU on a Manual Jazz

My ecu failed a couple of weeks ago. I am having a hard time looking for a Manual ecu here. We tried hooking up an ecu from a CVT unit and it works. Only thing is that it limits the rev to 4,000rpm and with the check engine light on. Is there a way to fix the ecu so it can rev higher? Thanks for the help.

No. You will need to find the correct ECU for your car. You can't reprogram stock ECU's for a transmission swap.

If an 07-08 ECU from US-spec car would work for your car, they're all over eBay for pretty reasonable prices.

I was able to order a manual ecu from Australia. Sadly it didn't work. I think the one I got has an immobilizer. My GD doesn't have an immobilizer. Does the US version have an immobilizer?

That won't work. A 1st gen Fit CVT trans is different than the clunky automatics we got here in the US.

Was able to sort out my problem by using the ecu I got from Australia. Thanks to Pynoxim who helped me figure out which part of the ecu to unsolder so that I can use the ecu fro Australia. He asked me to take that out. Thanks again to Pynoxim for all the help.
