Plug and Play?

I was wondering if the fit comes with a plug port somewhere so that a trailer light harness can just be siply plugged in? If so where can I find one?
Thanks.

I think I read somewhere on these forums that towing instantly voids your warantee. As such, I don't think they would have a plug stock.

towing wont void a warranty.

and i do not believe there is a plug already in place for towing. I think you have to tap into your wireloom. *I think*

A lot of GD3 owners, including me, have trailer hitches. Best place to buy trailer light wiring harnesses is Trailer hitch, hitches and bike rack (800)298-8924. You can find them on eBay for Fits also, but watch out. One eBay vendor advertises his as 'plug n play' but they are not. You have to cut and splice his kits.

You connect the trailer wiring to your tail light wires, behind the plastic covers in each back corner near the floor. You pop open several wire couplers, add the trailer harness connector, then pop the stock connecter back together. Simple- you can't do it wrong except for the cheap harnesses that make you cut and splice.

The part of the harness that connects to the trailer is storec under the spare tire cover. When in use for trailers, you just hang it out the back of the car and close the hatch on the wires. The hatch weather stripping is soft enough to protect the wires from damage.

P.s. Ignore all of the people telling you that a trailer hitch will void "your warranty". If your trailer breaks your car, warranty won't cover the damage. But if you are smart in the use of a trailer regarding tongue weight, trailer weight, load weight, etc., nothing is going to break anyway. Just having a hitch on the car will have zero effect on the Honda warranty despite what all of the ignorant people try to tell you. Just remember that you don't drive a 3 ton, 300 hp. truck. You have a serious limit on your load carrying ability with a Fit. Stay within those limits, add a X2 ratio to your braking distance, and you're fine.
