I'm collecting Base hubcaps
 

After seeing this eBay auction, I'm going to start collecting Base hubcaps. Seriously, did someone hit these people with a stupid stick? Who in their right mind would pay $140 for four pieces of plastic?

I know that Honda charges an arm, leg, and your firstborn son for them ($48 each at Bernardi), but honestly! I've seen whole sets for a lot less and, does it matter what you're putting on the car if all you want to do is cover the steelies?

The strange thing is not that someone put out hubcaps for that price. The realy strange thing is that someone actually buy them...

I just trow mine away when I got alu rims for both winter AND summer tires...

But I could see I was stupid, I should have sold them on eBay :)

Actually, the starting price was much cheaper. Auction frenzy drove the price up. Starting today, I guess I won't be frequenting ebay motors as much anymore. They de-listed the Fit as a Honda model from parts searches! I s**t you not.

At last glance, someone had four Fit hubcaps on individual auctions starting at $30 each, plus shipping. I've got my hubcaps in the shop and have debated selling them (except for the fact that I've nothing else to cover the steelies with at present).
