Clutch issue - Anyone else?

I just rolled over 50,000 km and my clutch has started making an unwanted noise. Just after the friction point, more when the car is warm, there is a click-click. And listening carefully it can be heard on the way in aswell. I had the dealership look at it after I found nothing. Their conclusion was by process of elimination they would replace the clutch pedal assembly.

Has anyone else had an issue like this. I hope it's not an on going issue. Thanks for the help.

my 07 did something like that a few weeks back, was pretty noisy, haven't heard it since, but sounded like the release bearing was loose or rattling... when it falls apart you'll know what it was... ha!

That's not what I wanted to hear.

Anyone else have any better news?

Here's hoping.

nobody else huh? Interesting.

Can you be more specific of where you're hearing the noise? I reread that 3 times and I have no clue wtf your talking about. There a few components to our clutch system so you'll need to specify more to get a better answer.

The noise occurs while letting the clutch pedal out and sounds as though it is coming from the footwell. It is a mechnical clicking sound.

Its probably the spring on the pedal. Or something needs to be greased. There's not really anything on the pedal assembly thats goes bad on most cars.

I have just over 40K (Km) on mine, nothing yet. Clutch is still very good and I launch it hard for Autocross in the summers.

I'm guessing it is just the spring. Seems most reasonable. Everything is still covered in grease from factory.

Just wanted some feedback.

Thanks

Hmmm the engine's idle does sound a little different with the clutch engaged vs. disengaged. With the clutch engaged on mine it sounds a little noisier (more like it adds background pink noise), but with none of the clicking you're referring to.

I track my car too.
