I have never gotten any bad remarks about my car, to my face anyway. I think I've seen a couple of Explorer drivers making comments to their passengers, but they are the morons in Explorers!

On the contrary, a couple of my wife's friends have called it the CLC (cute little car), and one older guy in a new Tundra when gas was $4/gallon told me just how smart I was for buying such an economical car before gas prices started running up.

If people tell you that you need to get a "nicer" car, then just ask them if they would be willing to pay for it.

And if you want a more macho ride, then hang a set of truck nutz from it. :P

^ True. The biggest truck I ever saw, HUGE truck, I think it was a dualie, at a gas station, the guy gassing it up was like a hobbit, I swear, and was even barefooted. I don't know how he even got in and out of it without a stepladder.

Balls on the back = no balls up front.

i choose to get a fit not cause everyone likes them but for the simple fact that its differant, i could have got a new si, hell even a s2000 if it was a older model, i think alot of people on this forum get these cars because there fun, i just came back from a trip to upstate ny, older guy in a focus svt got next to me and was toying around...long story short i whooppppppped that focus around every sharp turn and even let him pass me so i could sling shot around him lol, thats why i bought my fit, i knew it was not the fastest and i knew people would laugh and say what they had to, but let the haters hate who cares, have fun with these cars and make people suprized

Oh, I know. They are the stupidest things ever.

There are blue ones, red ones, and chrome ones. The guys with them are usually either over-roided muscleheads or little fat guys who can't find their manhoods anymore. They've disappeared in the rolls.

The first time I saw something like this was a home-made set about ten years ago. Way before someone got the idea to make and market them. It had to have been a couple of baseballs in a burlap bag, hanging from the back of some POS car. I just couldn't fathom it. I failed to see the quick money-making opportunity they represented. But who in their right mind would?

I knew I wanted to own a Fit after reading a test drive report in a magazine and when the writer said that the after market would produce products to address the lack of power I was sold..... Not one person that rode in or drove my car in stock form considered it slow and only 3 people will ride in it with me now that it has a supercharger with 10PSI boost.... The way I see it is that if the masses approve of something it is sure to be mediocre, at least as superficial as they are and I can do without it..... If you don't like your Fit get something you like but don't let someone else influence you because they can't appreciate it..... You wouldn't eat something you don't like because there are people that insist it is good even though it is loaded up with high fructose corn syrup and cholesterol and sure to rot your teeth and give you the runs....

When you raise enough sheep and cattle, the sight of them hanging doesn't bother you anymore. Just imagine they want you to know how bullheaded they are behind the wheel and sheepish when they aren't.

The way I see it, it is because you got a base Fit, so did I. To tell you the truth my stock base looked Horrible to me! but of course thats all I could afford. Anyway from all the gas savings I was able to get the side skirts front lip, coils, my mugen visors and the rims all for hella cheap from fellow fit freak members. And now I'm at the point where I'm getting to like my car lol

To tell you the truth I'm in the same situation as you, so I'm thinking of paying off the car and get a "nicer" car in the long run. Meanwhile I will continue to modify my car to the point where I'm satisfied. (which prolly will never happen because the Mod bug already bit me)

Well before I had the Fit I had a turbo PT cruiser, but I know the fit was slower, but not that much but I thought it was more fun to drive & better fuel economy. I was thnkful to have that instead of the cruiser when gas was $4 a gallon & I had some girls say I had a nice car too. Even my ex liked it better than my PT. So they are wrong on the chick magnet thing

Ok from a female perspective - the ride does not make the man. I think a slammed Fit or Jetta looks sexy hot. I respect a guy who is working on their car to make it their own. Some guys have great, expensive cars but are total jerks. I am driving the car for me, modifying it for myself and loving the heck out of driving such a great car that saves me on gas and is a ton of fun to drive.
